Early Years Coordinator

About the role

GEMS International School is seeking an experienced Early Years Coordinator to lead and support our early childhood team for the upcoming academic year. You will combine instructional leadership with day‑to‑day management to ensure high‑quality teaching and a nurturing environment for our young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Model effective teaching practices and instructional differentiation for early years staff.
• Assist teachers in developing clear learning targets and curriculum alignment.
• Promote GEMS culture of kindness and core values through communication and mentorship.
• Lead grade‑level meetings, provide curriculum orientation, and support team building.
• Address grade or department concerns promptly and professionally.
• Prepare curriculum documentation, timetables, and annual budget materials.
• Monitor homework quality and ensure consistent communication with families.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar coordination role.
• 3‑5 years solid early years classroom teaching experience, preferably in an IB curriculum school.
• Qualified teaching degree (B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent).
• Strong desire to deliver outstanding teaching and learning.
• Aspiration to grow within a world‑class school environment.
