Electrical Engineer – Building Services (Middle East)

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead the design, coordination and delivery of electrical systems for a diverse portfolio of built‑environment projects across the Middle East. The role will cover the full project lifecycle from concept through detailed design, tender and construction, ensuring safety, durability and high‑performance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical calculations and design LV power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, earthing, lightning protection, electrical containment, fire alarm, UPS and standby power systems.
• Produce single‑line diagrams, schematics, detailed drawings and technical specifications using BIM‑enabled tools.
• Develop power demand and load assessments, size equipment and select appropriate products.
• Coordinate ELV infrastructure and collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams.
• Prepare technical reports, design studies and support tender and construction documentation.
• Participate in client meetings, workshops and technical reviews to ensure compliance with local UAE/GCC codes.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Membership of a professional institution (IET, CIBSE, IEEE or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years experience in building services electrical design.
• Strong knowledge of UAE/GCC electrical codes and regulations.
• Ability to work independently on complex tasks and manage multiple concurrent projects.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Experience with Dialux EVO, ETAP, Amtech/Trimble and Navisworks.
