Electrical Engineer – Construction & Power Projects

About the role

Larsen & Toubro is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead and supervise site activities for construction, power plant, and substation projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves hands‑on execution, quality assurance, and team leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations, ensuring work follows approved plans and schedules.
• Lead and motivate site engineers, technicians, and workers to maintain productivity and quality standards.
• Allocate and manage manpower, materials, and equipment efficiently.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, monitor progress, and enforce contractual compliance.
• Implement Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the lifecycle.
• Track project progress, manage resources, and ensure timely delivery within budget.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• 3–10 years of relevant experience in civil engineering projects, power plants, or electrical substations.
• Experience in Gulf countries and/or India is highly desirable.
• Proven management and supervisory experience with multicultural teams.

Required skills

• Electrical installation, cable laying, transformer erection, switchgear installation, testing & commissioning.
• Interpretation of engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Quality Management Systems (QMS) implementation.
• Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) compliance.
• Risk management and mitigation.
