Electrical Engineer – PV

About the role

The Site Electrical Engineer (PV) will lead all electrical activities on a large‑scale solar power plant in Abu Dhabi, ensuring safe, efficient and high‑quality execution of installations. This position works closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver the project on schedule and to regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all electrical engineering activities on‑site for the solar power plant.
• Supervise installation of inverters, transformers, cabling, PV panels and grid connections ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical and project management teams to integrate electrical systems seamlessly.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and local authorities to secure timely delivery, permits and approvals.
• Monitor HSE regulations, promote site safety and report progress to the project manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 6–12 years of electrical engineering experience, including at least 3 years on solar PV projects.
• Strong knowledge of large‑scale solar power plant electrical systems and industry standards.
