Electrical Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliability and availability of all electrical equipment in the plant. This includes performing preventive, corrective and troubleshooting activities on low‑voltage and high‑voltage systems.

Key responsibilities

• Isolate and energise LV/HV motors, UPS, transformers, generators and related circuits following authorised certificates.
• Conduct fault finding, diagnosis and troubleshooting of electrical equipment.
• Perform routine, predictive and preventive maintenance checks, including visual inspections.
• Carry out new installations, modifications and testing of equipment according to plans and supervisor instructions.
• Identify required spare parts and tools, complete isolation confirmation certificates and maintenance activity sheets.
• Record work‑order history, update drawings and documentation, and contribute to method statements and near‑miss reports.
• Comply with HSE policies, company procedures and relevant legislation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial plant.
• Ability to work safely with LV and HV equipment and follow isolation procedures.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programmes and documentation requirements.
• Understanding of HSE standards and ability to maintain accurate records.
