Electrical QA/QC Engineer – MEP Projects

About the role

James L Williams Middle East is seeking an experienced Electrical QA/QC Engineer to join its QA/QC team and support major MEP projects across the United Arab Emirates. The role ensures that all electrical works comply with the Project Quality Plan, specifications, approved drawings and authority requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the Project Quality Plan (PQP) for electrical works.
• Prepare, coordinate and drive approvals for Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, Material Inspections and Work Inspections.
• Review delivered materials against approved submittals and manage Material Inspection Requests (MIRs).
• Conduct site quality inspections, record NCRs and Site Observation Reports (SORs), and coordinate corrective actions to closure.
• Verify that only approved materials are released for installation and that the latest IFC drawings are used on site.
• Monitor subcontractor quality performance and ensure calibration of testing instruments.
• Coordinate project close‑out documentation, including O&M manuals and inspection records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in MEP/construction, preferably on Data Centre projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical quality inspections, testing requirements, project specifications and approved construction drawings.
• Proven ability to coordinate with clients, consultants, project engineers and subcontractors.
