Electrical Technician – Hotel Engineering

About the role

Hyatt Centric Jumeirah Dubai is looking for a skilled Electrical Technician to join its Engineering team. The role involves maintaining, inspecting, troubleshooting and repairing the hotel’s electrical systems and equipment to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical installations, lighting fixtures, power distribution panels, motors, pumps and related equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve electrical faults to minimise operational disruption.
• Attend emergency situations such as power failures and fire alarm incidents.
• Maintain accurate shift logs and complete required maintenance documentation.
• Support installation, testing and commissioning of new electrical equipment and systems.
• Ensure work areas are clean, safe and organised, adhering to health, safety and fire regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver exceptional service and support hotel operations.

Required profile

• Diploma, Trade Certificate, ITI or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in hospitality, facilities management or commercial buildings.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installations, troubleshooting, maintenance practices and safety standards.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and technical manuals.
• Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
