Electrical Technician

About the role

The Electrical Technician is responsible for assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical and electronic systems across the hotel facilities. This role ensures all equipment operates safely and complies with local codes and Marriott standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning tools, equipment, and electrical systems.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components, following National Electric Code and local regulations.
• Use testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to verify system performance.
• Plan layout and installation of wiring and fixtures based on job specifications and blueprints.
• Respond to repair requests, perform preventative maintenance, and manage maintenance inventory.
• Follow all company safety policies, report hazards, and complete required safety training.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and provide courteous service to guests.

Required profile

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree.
• At least 2 years of related electrical maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift, carry, and manipulate objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
• Strong attention to safety procedures and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
• Experience using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Knowledge of electrical wiring installation and circuit‑breaker/transformer connections.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance practices and inventory management.
