EMEA Assurance Lead

About the role

Scale AI is seeking an EMEA Assurance Lead to own and drive assurance programmes for its public‑sector and commercial business across the GCC, UK and EU. Reporting to the Head of Global Assurance, this hands‑on role will design region‑specific controls within the company’s global GRC framework and ensure alignment with global standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain EMEA‑specific controls aligned with global assurance standards.
• Lead regional certification programmes such as Qatar NCSA NIA, KSA NCA ECC, UAE DESC ISR, UK Cyber Essentials Plus, DCC and NCSC Secure by Design.
• Manage controls mapping, evidence collection, gap analysis, certification timelines and submission processes.
• Maintain existing certifications (SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, ISO 9001) and obtain new ones for EMEA and international operations.
• Coordinate with Global GRC, Security, Engineering, Product, Legal and external assessors.
• Set priorities, intake workflows, remediation tracking and report progress via global assurance dashboards.
• Support public‑sector customer assurance activities, including security questionnaires and compliance due‑diligence.

Required profile

• Proven experience in governance, risk and compliance (GRC) or security assurance.
• Deep knowledge of GCC, UK and EU regulatory and certification requirements.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage cross‑functional stakeholder relationships.
• Experience handling external auditors and certification bodies.
