About the role

A leading healthcare provider in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Consultant to join its high‑acuity emergency, trauma and resuscitation services. This full‑time position offers exposure to a diverse patient population in a modern hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead assessment, stabilization and management of emergency, trauma, cardiac, medical, surgical and paediatric cases.
• Perform airway management, procedural sedation and resuscitation, ensuring critical decision‑making under pressure.
• Supervise emergency teams, triage complex cases and coordinate specialist referrals.
• Oversee patient flow, observation unit decisions, transfers and discharge planning.
• Participate in disaster preparedness, trauma protocols, simulation training and clinical governance activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation, medico‑legal compliance and patient safety standards.

Required profile

• Internationally recognised emergency medicine qualification (e.g., ABEM, UK CCT/FRCEM, European Board, Royal College Canada, FACEM, Arab Board, MD/DNB/FCPS).
• Strong clinical judgement, evidence‑based practice and commitment to patient safety.
• Excellent communication skills with culturally diverse patients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to adapt to UAE licensing, documentation and hospital governance requirements.
