Engineer Fixed Access Support

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Engineer Fixed Access Support to act as a Subject Matter Expert for Fixed Access and GPON setups, ensuring high‑quality network performance for enterprise and consumer services.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve network and customer trouble tickets for GPON, P2P enterprise, and consumer setups, including IIB layer issues for Nokia and Cisco.
• Perform daily and weekly health checks, capacity planning, and optimization of traffic to improve customer experience.
• Coordinate with Customer Assurance, planning, and vendor teams to manage escalations, capacity expansion, and SLA compliance.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation, diagrams, and periodic performance reports for network nodes and data‑center platforms.
• Support disaster recovery activities, develop runbooks, and oversee change requests and maintenance procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or Telecommunication Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the telecom domain, with at least 5‑7 years in routing and switching.
• Leadership or management certifications are a plus.

Required skills

• GPON technologies (Huawei, Nokia, Cisco).
• Routing and switching platforms: Cisco N7K, N5K, 7600, 6500, 3750, 2960; Juniper; Fortinet firewalls.
• MPLS, BGP, OSPF, BFD configuration.
• DNS and DHCP solutions.
• Virtualization and related operational techniques.
