Engineer I – Research, Studies & Publication

About the role

AL TAIF is seeking an Engineer I to support research, studies and publication activities for land platforms and equipment used by the UAE Armed Forces. The role involves assisting senior engineers, managing project requirements and ensuring timely delivery of technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Engineer II, Project Management as a secondary point of contact for customer requirements and inquiries.
• Capture and document mechanical and electrical project requirements.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to detailed project planning, scheduling and resource allocation.
• Monitor project progress to ensure timely and professional completion.
• Conduct feasibility studies and bridge gaps between customer needs and practical solutions.
• Participate in meetings between customers and the engineering design team.
• Document lessons learned and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support risk and issue analysis to protect delivery commitments.
• Prepare comprehensive monthly project reports for senior management.
• Apply project management tools and techniques to track deliverables.
• Maintain professional knowledge through workshops, publications and professional networks.
• Adhere to contractual obligations, AL TAIF Quality standards and HSE requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of company information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Masters in Engineering Management or MBA preferred.
• 1‑3 years of relevant professional experience, ideally with project management exposure.
• Proven ability to work on multiple projects and meet challenging timescales.
• Commitment to health, safety, environment standards and confidentiality.
