Engineer - Planning - Construction Supervision

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer to join AECOM’s Abu Dhabi team. The role involves overseeing construction planning, scheduling and supervision to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update comprehensive project schedules using industry‑standard planning software.
• Supervise and coordinate on‑site construction activities, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications and safety regulations.
• Monitor progress against timelines and budgets, identify variances and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed progress reports and performance metrics for stakeholders.
• Manage resource allocation of labour, equipment and materials to optimise efficiency.
• Conduct regular site inspections and meetings to uphold quality standards.
• Identify and analyse project risks, developing mitigation strategies to minimise delays and cost overruns.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Minimum eight years of experience in construction planning and scheduling.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to lead cross‑functional teams.
• Technical construction expertise and familiarity with safety regulations.
