Engineer, Workshop (Mechanical Maintenance Team - Bu Hasa)

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Workshop Engineer to join the Mechanical Maintenance Team at Bu Hasa. The role provides technical expertise and engineering support for workshop and static equipment maintenance within the plant, ensuring reliability and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor workshop activities to ensure efficiency and compliance with procedures.
• Provide technical support for fabrication, welding and machining issues.
• Coordinate equipment replacements, develop repair strategies and advise on modifications.
• Prepare and implement preventive maintenance plans to minimise downtime.
• Review ongoing maintenance and repair projects, delivering engineering support.
• Develop and verify procedures for critical fabrication, welding and machining jobs.
• Participate in multidisciplinary overhaul work for safe operations.
• Engage in pre‑qualification, technical review and procurement of materials and tools.
• Prepare requisitions and coordinate with Material Management to ensure stock availability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in workshop maintenance of static equipment within a large oil‑and‑gas processing environment.
• Professional certifications as applicable.
