Engineering Manager – Projects Department

About the role

The Engineering Manager will lead project engineering activities across the full lifecycle, from assessment and selection through to commissioning and hand‑over. Reporting to senior leadership, you will ensure engineering delivery meets safety, quality, schedule, cost and technical requirements for ADNOC Gas projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams, PMC, licensors, EPC contractors and operations to guarantee engineering integrity and compliance.
• Develop and review tender documents, Statements of Requirement, engineering strategies and implementation plans.
• Evaluate technical proposals, specifications, construction methodologies and subcontracting strategies.
• Oversee engineering progress during construction, commissioning and start‑up, identifying bottlenecks and driving corrective actions.
• Ensure adoption of state‑of‑the‑art technologies, equipment, materials and industry best practices.
• Coordinate engineering support for operational readiness, mechanical completion, performance testing and project hand‑over.
• Facilitate effective stakeholder communication between project management, engineering functions and ADNOC Group companies.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale engineering projects in the oil & gas or energy sector.
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards, codes and industry best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and complex stakeholder environments.
• Excellent risk‑management and decision‑making capabilities.
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent professional qualification.
