Engineering Practical Trainer / Assessor

About the role

Emirates Engineering Training is looking for an Engineering Practical Trainer / Assessor to deliver hands‑on maintenance training and assessments for trainees pursuing the National Engineering Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licence (AMEL) programme. The role is based at the Emirates Engineering Maintenance Centre in Dubai and supports both internal Emiratization candidates and external applicants.

Key responsibilities

• Organise aircraft and resources for Structured Practical Training and on‑the‑job training in coordination with the Aircraft Scheduling, Line Maintenance and Base Maintenance teams.
• Prepare and raise required documentation (NRI, logbook entries) in line with the Engineering Procedure Manual.
• Allocate work tasks with hangar shift managers and ensure completion of training logbooks for each aircraft type.
• Monitor trainee performance, conduct regular assessments, sign off the Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Logbook and report strengths and development areas to the Engineering Training Manager.
• Ensure all training activities comply with the Maintenance Training Organisation Exposition and support the issuance of Certificates of Recognition.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in aircraft maintenance and practical training environments.
• Strong knowledge of UAE GCAA, EASA and CAR 66/147 regulatory requirements.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to liaise with multiple operational teams.
• Attention to detail for documentation and compliance.
