Engineering Practical Trainer / Assessor

About the role

Emirates Engineering Training seeks an experienced Engineering Practical Trainer / Assessor to deliver and assess hands‑on maintenance training for the National Engineering Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licence (AMEL) programme and type‑specific training across the EK fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and conduct Structured Practical Training and On‑Job Training for aircraft, coordinating with scheduling, line maintenance and hangar shift managers.
• Prepare and raise required documentation (NRI, logbook entries) in line with Engineering Procedure manuals and ensure compliance before certificate issuance.
• Monitor trainee performance, perform regular assessments, sign off logbooks and report strengths and weaknesses to training managers.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of technical publications and impart this knowledge to both basic and type‑specific trainees.
• Participate in safety culture initiatives, ensure adherence to airport safety regulations and promote compliance monitoring.

Required profile

• Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) with at least 8 years experience as an approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
• Valid UAE‑GCAA CAR 66 AMEL CAT B2 or B1 + B2 licence with endorsements on at least two aircraft types (e.g., B777, A350, A380).
• Authorization from a CAR 145 organisation and familiarity with CAR 66/147 and EASA Part 66/147 requirements.
