Engineering Projects Officer (CAD Specialist)

About the role

The Engineering Projects Officer (CAD Specialist) provides technical support to the Engineering Projects team, ensuring aircraft cabin interior, inflight entertainment and avionics specifications meet regulatory, safety and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and compile product data, technical specifications and performance data during aircraft specification evaluations.
• Review and extract project information from existing airplane baseline programs and industry trends.
• Support IT enhancements, workflow development and digital data utilisation for fleet expansion projects.
• Develop 3D models, floor plans and Layout of Passenger Arrangement (LOPA) using AutoCAD and related software.
• Create and maintain a digital repository of cabin interior elements and technical drawings.
• Assist Project Engineers in preparing confidential specifications, tender documents and cost summaries.
• Maintain specification documentation, monitor project schedules and coordinate aircraft deliveries.
• Evaluate new IFE/IFEC technologies and assist in preparing related specifications for the fleet.

Required profile

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical data and industry trends.
• Experience in supporting engineering projects within the aerospace or aviation sector.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation and communicate findings across internal departments.
