Engineering Teacher – Instrumentation and Control

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Teacher specialized in Instrumentation and Control to deliver practical, industry‑focused courses to Diploma and Higher Diploma students at ADVETI. The role reports to the Department Chair of Engineering and combines curriculum development with hands‑on classroom instruction.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lectures and laboratory sessions covering instrumentation, control systems, DCS and SCADA.
• Develop and update curriculum and assessment materials aligned with industry standards.
• Provide 25 teaching periods per week (50 minutes each) for Diploma/Higher Diploma programmes.
• Mentor students and assess their performance through projects and examinations.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshoot faults, and ensure safe operation of control hardware.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical or desalination sectors.
• At least 3 years of that experience spent in an industrial setting.
• BSc degree in Control Engineering, Electronics & Control, Electrical & Control or equivalent; MSc/PhD desirable.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the vocational level.
• Fluent verbal and written English with strong presentation skills.
