English-Arabic Translator

About the role

We are looking for a professional English‑Arabic Translator to join Dubai Schools Al Barsha. The role involves translating written and spoken content to support communication within the school community and with external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately translate documents, emails, reports and other written materials from English to Arabic and vice‑versa while preserving meaning, tone and style.
• Provide real‑time interpretation during meetings, parent‑teacher conferences, training sessions and other events.
• Proofread and edit translated texts to ensure grammatical correctness and consistency.
• Maintain and update a terminology glossary for education‑related terms.
• Conduct research on subject matter to ensure high‑quality translations.
• Handle confidential information with discretion and adhere to data‑protection policies.
• Manage multiple translation assignments and meet agreed deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Arabic or a related field.
• Minimum two years of professional translation experience, preferably in an educational environment.
• Strong command of both English and Arabic, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Commitment to child safeguarding and adherence to background‑check procedures.
