Environment, Health and Safety Manager

About the role

The Environment, Health and Safety Manager will lead the hotel’s Occupational Safety & Health Management System (OSHMS) and food safety programmes, ensuring full compliance with Abu Dhabi OSHAD/ADOSH frameworks, DCT classification standards and Marriott brand requirements. This senior role combines EHS leadership with quality and brand audit expertise in a luxury 5‑star hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, update and audit the OSHMS in line with OSHAD/ADOSH regulations and DCT 5‑star classification criteria.
• Lead hazard identification, risk assessments (HIRA) and emergency preparedness across all guest and staff areas.
• Oversee contractor safety, permit‑to‑work processes and incident investigations, including root‑cause analysis and statutory reporting.
• Manage food safety programmes: HACCP implementation, EFST certification, ADAFSA self‑inspections and GFSA compliance.
• Drive Marriott Brand Standards Assessment (BSA) readiness through mock audits, documentation and service coaching.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Microbiology or Biotechnology.
• NEBOSH or IOSH certification (or equivalent) with strong knowledge of OSHAD/ADOSH requirements.
• 5–8 years of combined EHS and quality/brand leadership in luxury hospitality.
• Proven experience with DCT Abu Dhabi inspections, ADAFSA, EFST, HACCP and ISO internal audits.
