Environmental Engineer – Construction Projects

About the role

The Environmental Engineer will implement and monitor environmental management programmes across construction projects, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, ISO 14001 and company sustainability policies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement Environmental Management Plans (EMP) and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conduct environmental inspections and audits, monitoring air, water and waste practices.
• Lead waste segregation, recycling and pollution prevention initiatives.
• Prepare and submit environmental performance reports to management and authorities.
• Deliver training and awareness sessions to promote a sustainability culture on project sites.
• Coordinate with HSE and Quality teams to integrate management practices.
• Recommend innovative solutions for continuous improvement in sustainability and compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience as an Environmental Engineer in the construction industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or a related field.
• Strong understanding of ISO 14001, UAE environmental legislation and sustainability practices.
• Proven experience in environmental monitoring, auditing and reporting.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
