Estimator - Piling and Shoring

About the role

Al Marwan Group is seeking a detail‑oriented Estimator specialized in piling and shoring to join its construction team in Sharjah. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, tender submissions, and commercial proposals for foundation and ground support projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review tender documents, technical specifications, drawings, and geotechnical reports to define project scope.
• Perform detailed quantity take‑offs for piling, shoring, and related ground support systems.
• Develop Bills of Quantities and cost estimates covering materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor work.
• Analyse project risks, pricing strategies and contingencies to produce competitive bids.
• Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to optimise costs.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals in line with client requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement and operations teams to validate pricing and execution plans.
• Maintain cost databases, unit rates and market pricing trends.
• Support contract negotiations and handover to the execution team after award.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an estimator in the piling and shoring sector.
• Strong technical knowledge of foundation systems such as bored piles, sheet piles, secant piles, diaphragm walls and ground anchors.
• Proven ability to produce accurate cost estimates and competitive bids.
