Event Services Expert - Supervisor

About the role

The Event Services Expert – Supervisor leads the banquet and event team at W Hotels, ensuring seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction. This role combines hands‑on supervision, guest interaction, and operational oversight in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate staff to work as a cohesive team and inspect grooming and attire, correcting deficiencies.
• Communicate with guests, other departments and employees to meet guest needs and special banquet arrangements.
• Set up banquet rooms, ensure cleanliness, proper furniture/equipment placement, and maintain table‑set standards.
• Document relevant information in departmental logbooks and resolve any setup issues.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining and motivating employees.
• Enforce company, safety and security policies; report accidents and complete required safety training.
• Maintain professional uniform appearance, protect confidential information and company assets.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities and express genuine appreciation.
• Answer telephone calls using proper etiquette and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and navigating stairs or uneven surfaces as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year related work experience in hospitality or event services.
• At least 1 year supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.
