Experienced Consultant / Senior Consultant (Accounting & Payroll)

About the role

We are seeking an Experienced Consultant / Senior Consultant to join BDO’s audit and advisory team. The role involves setting up and managing client accounting systems, preparing financial statements, and handling payroll functions while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality.

Key responsibilities

• Configure accounting systems, including chart of accounts and management reporting formats, based on client requirements.
• Prepare and finalize books of accounts, general ledgers, trial balances, profit & loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, budgets and management reports.
• Perform account reconciliations, bank statements, credit‑card accounts, expense schedules and journal entries.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and client internal policies.
• Set up and manage payroll in the designated payroll software, advising on local labor laws, end‑of‑service benefits, social security and WPS regulations.
• Generate monthly and yearly payroll reports, payslips, variance analyses and related journal entries.
• Review employee expense claims and process payments in line with client guidelines.
• Manage client bank accounts for salary, supplier and expense payments as authorized.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in accounting and payroll consulting, preferably at a senior level.
• Strong knowledge of statutory accounting and payroll regulations.
• High degree of professional integrity and ability to maintain client confidentiality.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
