External Auditor – Financial Audits (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

Vertix Auditing is seeking a fully qualified External Auditor to join its head office in Abu Dhabi. You will lead independent audits of client financial statements, ensuring compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and local regulations while providing assurance on the accuracy and fairness of reported information.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and finalise external audits for clients across diverse industries.
• Review financial statements, records and transactions for accuracy, completeness and IFRS compliance.
• Assess internal controls, identify weaknesses and recommend improvements.
• Perform substantive testing, analytical procedures and risk assessments.
• Document audit findings and prepare professional audit reports.
• Communicate audit issues and recommendations to client management and stakeholders.
• Ensure audits are completed within agreed timelines and quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, ACA or equivalent.
• 4‑5 years of experience in a reputable audit firm.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, ISA and relevant UAE regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using audit/accounting software.
• Practical knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero and Zoho.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
