Facilities Manager

About the role

Green Initiative, a leading development company, is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the operations of a mega‑shopping mall in Abu Dhabi. The role involves planning, coordinating, and controlling all facilities management (FM) aspects to ensure the mall meets performance targets and delivers a high‑quality experience for tenants and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Create and lead an effective FM team to ensure a successful mall opening.
• Manage total FM services, both hard (technical) and soft (cleaning, security, etc.).
• Monitor service providers against budget and KPI commitments.
• Evaluate and negotiate SLAs and KPIs with external contractors.
• Develop, implement, and enforce FM policies and procedures.
• Train and mentor personnel to high standards and promote strong team management.
• Contribute to the financial viability of the site.
• Review and support energy‑efficiency programmes.
• Oversee health and safety risk management.
• Liaise with tenancy fit‑out teams and external consultants.

Required profile

• Extensive experience on mall pre‑openings or large mixed‑use developments.
• Familiarity with hand‑over, design review, and operational phases.
• Proven budget management experience.
• Excellent communication skills and a hands‑on approach.
• Ability to develop and implement FM strategies and tender processes.
• Middle‑East experience preferred.
