Faculty Position in Business Accounting

About the role

The Higher Colleges of Technology is seeking a full‑time faculty member to teach Business Accounting to second‑language learners. The role involves delivering curriculum‑aligned instruction, supporting student success, and contributing to the college’s academic community.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver applied, student‑centered accounting courses using the approved syllabus and educational technology.
• Provide continuous feedback through assessments, projects, and assignments, and maintain accurate grade records.
• Advise and mentor students, including at‑risk support, internship supervision, and regular office hours.
• Engage in applied research aligned with national innovation priorities and present findings at conferences.
• Participate in faculty, program and system‑wide committees, and serve as a sponsor or adviser to student groups.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline, or a Master’s degree with professional certification and at least 5 years of combined teaching and industry experience; a Bachelor’s may be considered with extensive industry credentials.
• Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in the relevant discipline and at least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience developing curricula that meet accreditation and international standards, and incorporating educational technology into instruction.
