Finance Assistant – Accounting Data Entry & Support

About the role

We are seeking a responsible, detail‑oriented Finance Assistant to join our Finance Department in Umm Al Quwain. The role focuses on accurate daily entry of financial transactions and maintaining well‑organized records while supporting the Finance Manager with various finance‑related tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Enter daily accounting transactions – sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, and payments – into the company’s accounting software, ensuring each entry is backed by proper documentation.
• Organise, classify and file invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, bank documents and other accounting records both electronically and physically.
• Assist with basic Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities, including preparation of payment and receipt records.
• Support bank, cash, supplier and customer account reconciliations as required.
• Prepare simple Excel schedules, reports and summaries for the Finance Manager and help with month‑end procedures.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of financial information and follow internal controls and approval processes.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
• Ability to perform repetitive data‑entry work accurately and meet deadlines.
• Good numerical ability, attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Previous experience in the UAE is an advantage but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using accounting software or ERP systems.
