Finance Controller – Logistics Operations

About the role

Wood Couture is looking for an experienced Finance Controller to lead financial planning, reporting and cost control for its logistics and supply‑chain operations in Dubai. You will ensure profitability across transportation, freight, customs, warehousing and delivery functions while maintaining strict financial discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Monitor project, client and logistics profitability.
• Control transportation, freight, customs, warehousing and delivery costs.
• Validate shipping invoices and manage logistics vendor payments.
• Oversee cash‑flow, receivables and payables.
• Coordinate marine insurance declarations and claims reporting.
• Lead the finance team and collaborate with procurement, logistics, warehouse and project teams.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, customs regulations and internal controls.
• Support management with financial analysis and cost‑optimization initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or related field.
• Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CMA or CA) preferred.
• 7‑10 years of finance and accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or controller role.
• Proven logistics finance experience in a logistics, freight‑forwarding, shipping or supply‑chain company.
• Strong knowledge of transportation, freight, customs, warehousing and delivery cost analysis.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• ERP systems – preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
