Finance Manager – Nigeria/Ghana

About the role

We are seeking a strategic Finance Manager to lead financial operations for our distribution business across Nigeria and Ghana. The role combines operational discipline with a commercial mindset, supporting growth in a multicultural African environment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to drive financial performance and sustainable growth.
• Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage cash flow, foreign exchange exposure, and working capital optimization.
• Deliver insightful business analysis and performance monitoring.
• Support pricing, investment, and expansion decisions through financial modelling.
• Implement and maintain effective financial controls and procedures.
• Lead audit processes and coordinate with external advisors.
• Supervise and develop finance teams across both countries.
• Contribute actively to the regional management team.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is a plus.
• Minimum 5‑10 years of experience in a Finance Manager or equivalent role.
• Strong exposure to multinational environments and multiple African markets.
• Experience within distribution, FMCG, retail or trading sectors.
• Strong understanding of business partnering and performance management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English.
