Finance Officer – Immediate Start

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking a Finance Officer for Bateen World Academy in Abu Dhabi to start immediately. The role supports the school’s financial operations, handling tuition collections, budgeting, and various administrative finance tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to parents’ finance and admissions inquiries and manage tuition fee collections, including late payments and returned cheques.
• Handle petty cash reconciliation, replenishment, and bank collection reporting.
• Coordinate collection of fees for trips, activities, examinations, transport, and self‑funded budgets.
• Manage stationery, textbook, library, and student planner orders, ensuring timely delivery and accurate records.
• Prepare monthly income and expenditure statements, monitor department budgets, and provide updates to heads of department and the principal.
• Liaise with headquarters to raise purchase orders, process LPOs, and manage reimbursements for charities and other activities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and school policies, and attend relevant training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar finance role within the region; customer service experience required.
• Experience in the education sector is preferred.
• Fluent English communication skills; Arabic fluency is advantageous.
