Finance Officer – Payment Solutions

About the role

As a Finance Officer – Payment Solutions you will manage and optimise Etihad’s payment infrastructure, ensuring secure, efficient and scalable processing of transactions. You will work closely with IT, vendors and financial institutions to support strategic initiatives and drive continuous improvement in payment technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily operation and optimisation of the airline’s payment systems, monitoring performance and resolving issues.
• Assist in integrating new payment methods such as digital wallets, real‑time payments and alternative solutions.
• Collaborate with IT and third‑party vendors on testing, upgrades and enhancements to maintain high availability.
• Implement fraud detection tools and charge‑back management systems to protect against financial loss.
• Document configurations, workflows and processes to ensure compliance and operational continuity.
• Act as primary contact for payment service providers, banks and financial institutions, supporting contract negotiations and SLA monitoring.
• Evaluate vendor performance, analysing authorisation rates, fees and service quality.
• Support reconciliation by investigating discrepancies in settlements, refunds and charge‑backs.
• Create reports and dashboards using Excel and Power BI to highlight performance metrics and improvement areas.
• Conduct benchmarking and forecasting of transaction volumes to aid budgeting and financial planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in payment solutions, financial services or e‑commerce.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements in payment processing and data privacy.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of payment gateways, merchant accounts and alternative payment methods.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint.
