Investment Director – Lead Investment Research & Due Diligence

About the role

We are seeking an Investment Director to lead our investment research and oversee the full due‑diligence process across multiple strategies and geographies. The role reports directly to senior leadership and combines deep market knowledge with operational rigor to drive analytical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead investment due diligence by sourcing, screening and evaluating opportunities, analysing performance, risk metrics and team capabilities.
• Maintain regular contact with managers to monitor strategy evolution, performance attribution and organisational stability.
• Coordinate the end‑to‑end due‑diligence lifecycle, manage trackers and ensure timely updates.
• Synthesize findings into comprehensive investment memoranda for senior leadership.
• Conduct macro‑research and market analysis, monitoring economic data, central bank policy and geopolitical developments.
• Develop scenario analyses and periodic briefs to inform portfolio positioning.

Required profile

• 8‑12 years of experience in investment management, research, portfolio management or institutional allocation.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Finance, Mathematics, Physics or a related quantitative field.
• Deep understanding of financial markets and complex instruments.
• Exceptional research and written communication abilities.
• Proven project coordination experience in multi‑stakeholder investment environments.

Required skills

• Python programming for investment analysis and portfolio management.
• Bloomberg terminal proficiency.
• Additional programming knowledge (R, SQL) – preferred.
