Financial Analyst – Budget Planning

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Financial Analyst to join the Budget Planning Department of a leading hard‑commodity organisation in Dubai. The role is full‑time and office‑based, collaborating with finance, operations, supply‑chain and commercial teams to drive data‑driven decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Support the annual budgeting cycle – collect, consolidate and analyse data, perform variance analysis.
• Develop financial models for forecasting, scenario planning and multi‑year projections.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual performance reports and monitor results against budget.
• Identify deviations, risks and improvement opportunities, and communicate findings.
• Collaborate with trading, operations, supply‑chain and corporate finance to validate assumptions.
• Analyse cost structures, cash‑flow trends and expenditure patterns.
• Contribute to KPI development, dashboards and internal reporting tools.
• Assist with investment assessments, capital‑expenditure reviews and business‑case analysis.
• Support internal controls, audits and compliance activities as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting or corporate finance; commodity or trading experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, quantitative and communication skills.
• Fluent English; additional languages advantageous.
• Previous experience in the GCC region preferred.
