Financial Controller – Fintech, Financial Services & Technology

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to lead our finance function in a fast‑growing fintech environment. The role combines hands‑on financial operations with strategic reporting and regulatory compliance, supporting senior management with actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day financial operations including accounts payable/receivable, cash management and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and UAE regulations.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning, providing variance analysis and KPI monitoring.
• Manage VAT, tax filings and coordinate external audits, ensuring compliance with UAE regulatory requirements.
• Develop and improve internal controls, risk management processes and financial system automation.

Required profile

• 10–12 years of finance and accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Background in fintech, financial services or a high‑growth technology company.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, CA) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT and local regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams and act as a business partner to senior management.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and financial modelling.
• Experience with financial systems and accounting software.
• Power BI or other data‑analytics / business‑intelligence tools.
• In‑depth understanding of IFRS and UAE tax regulations.
• Budgeting, forecasting and KPI reporting.
