Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will oversee project budgets throughout their lifecycle, ensuring costs are monitored, controlled, and aligned with profitability targets. You will work closely with Project Management, Sales, Operations and other stakeholders to provide accurate financial reporting and actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project budgets from initiation to close‑out.
• Monitor and control project costs, including labor, materials, and overhead.
• Analyze budget variances and investigate cost overruns.
• Recommend and implement cost‑saving initiatives to improve project profitability.
• Prepare financial reports, cost analyses, and management presentations.
• Analyze P&L performance and identify improvement areas.
• Forecast revenue streams and support financial planning activities.
• Monitor and analyze sales pipelines, identifying financial risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Support business decision‑making through financial insights and analysis.

Required profile

• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and project cost management.
• Proven ability to analyze P&L performance and drive profitability improvements.
• Experience working with project‑focused financial data and sales pipelines.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non‑financial stakeholders.

Required skills

• Experience with project management or cost control tools such as Primavera.
• Experience with cost control tools such as Deltek.
