Financial Controlling Manager – GBS, Dubai

About the role

As a Financial Controlling Manager within the GBS division in Dubai, you will support the development and implementation of accounting policies, internal controls and automation initiatives. You will work closely with Group Finance, Shared Service Centres and business units to ensure compliance with IAS/IFRS standards and deliver high‑quality financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Group and Divisional Policy and Advisory Head in designing internal control frameworks and standardisation processes.
• Draft and roll‑out divisional accounting policies, providing technical analysis and training on IAS/IFRS.
• Lead balance‑sheet substantiation, trial‑balance reviews and KPI/SLA monitoring.
• Coordinate period‑close activities with shared services and business‑unit finance teams.
• Prepare and review entity‑level scorecards, issue‑resolution reports and audit progress tracking.
• Support the preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements and liaise with external auditors.
• Drive the adoption of AI and automation tools, building solutions for recurring controlling deliverables and establishing data‑governance protocols.
• Deliver training sessions to build capability and promote AI use cases with measurable impact.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with solid understanding of accounting standards (IAS, IFRS).
• Experience in financial controlling, internal controls and audit coordination.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and communicate complex accounting concepts.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of emerging technologies in finance.
