Financial Modelling Manager (6‑month contract)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Financial Modelling Manager to join a leading government entity in Abu Dhabi on a six‑month contract. The role focuses on building and maintaining dynamic workforce and budget planning models that support strategic decision‑making across HR and finance functions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain advanced financial models in Excel for workforce planning, budgeting and forecasting.
• Create scenario and sensitivity analysis tools to evaluate various workforce strategies and their financial impact.
• Conduct cost‑benefit analyses and business case assessments for proposed initiatives.
• Transform large, complex data sets into user‑friendly dashboards and reporting tools, preferably using Power BI.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance and senior stakeholders to gather requirements, validate assumptions and present insights.
• Ensure model accuracy, documentation, validation and governance standards are upheld.
• Support ongoing budget tracking and workforce cost optimisation efforts.

Required profile

• Minimum six years of experience in financial modelling, FP&A, corporate finance, consulting or a related field.
• Proven track record of building complex Excel models with automation and dynamic formulas.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in forecasting, scenario and sensitivity analysis.
• Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Experience in government, public‑sector or large transformation programmes is advantageous.
