Fire Alarm Technician

About the role

The Fire Alarm Technician will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and maintaining the fire alarm network at Abu Dhabi Air Base (ADAB). This includes fire alarm control panels, transceivers, and the central dispatch system to ensure reliable operation and compliance with standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on fire detection and alarm systems in accordance with UFC 3-601-02, NFPA standards, and manufacturer instructions.
• Carry out corrective maintenance and repairs to restore systems to full operating condition.
• Respond to emergency service calls within 30 minutes to address automatic fire alarm issues.
• Provide quarterly training to Air Force personnel on fire alarm procedures and panel resets.
• Install and program new antenna masts and transceivers for newly constructed facilities, ensuring proper communication with the Monaco D-21 dispatch system.
• Offer technical advice to the Contracting Officer Representative for fire protection work requests.

Required profile

• NICET Level II certification in Inspection and Testing of Fire Alarm Systems.
• Minimum three years of experience with fire alarm installation, maintenance, or repair.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Valid local driver’s license and ability to obtain a US Secret clearance.
