Fleet Superintendent

About the role

The Fleet Superintendent is the primary accountable professional for a portfolio of vessels managed by V.Group in Dubai. Reporting to the Fleet Manager, the role ensures the highest safety standards, technical compliance, and seamless service delivery to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enforce technical policies and procedures across assigned vessels.
• Make safety‑critical decisions in collaboration with the Fleet Manager to protect crew, assets, and the environment.
• Act as the main liaison between the customer and the ship, guaranteeing that contractual performance expectations are met.
• Plan, control and execute maintenance, repairs, dry‑docking, conversions or modifications in line with flag, class and statutory requirements.
• Authorize the selection of senior officers for the vessels and foster effective relationships with shipboard leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing a fleet of commercial vessels.
• Strong knowledge of maritime safety regulations and statutory compliance.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and make decisive operational choices.
• Customer‑focused mindset with excellent communication skills.
