Flexo Printing Assistant Operator

About the role

The Flexo Printing Assistant Operator supports the main operator in preparing, running and maintaining flexographic printing equipment. The role focuses on ensuring high‑quality output, efficient production and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with machine setup, job changeovers and production preparation.
• Mount printing plates, anilox rollers, doctor blades and cylinders as directed.
• Load substrates such as labels, paper, film and other materials.
• Prepare and supply inks, solvents and consumables.
• Monitor print quality, colour consistency, registration and defects during runs.
• Help maintain machine speed and meet production targets.
• Clean printing units, ink trays, rollers and other components.
• Maintain housekeeping around the press area.
• Assist in troubleshooting minor machine issues and report major problems.
• Record production data, wastage, downtime and material consumption.
• Follow all safety, quality and company procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma / ITI or any technical qualification (preferred).
• 2‑5 years experience in flexographic, label or packaging printing, or fresh graduate with relevant technical training.
• Ability to work in shifts and meet production deadlines.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of flexographic printing processes.
• Understanding of inks, substrates and printing materials.
• Ability to identify print defects and quality issues.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machine operations.
