Flying Instructor – Flight Training Academy

About the role

The Emirates Flight Training Academy (EFTA) in Dubai South offers world‑class pilot training. As a Flying Instructor you will deliver high‑quality flight instruction to ab‑initio cadets, initially on SR‑22 single‑engine aircraft, with the opportunity to progress to the DA42 twin‑engine fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑aircraft, simulator and ground instruction to cadets.
• Prepare lesson plans, conduct pre‑ and post‑flight briefings, and write accurate performance reports.
• Assess cadet proficiency, conduct regular checks, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Report incidents and safety violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Research and recommend new training methods to improve learning outcomes.

Required profile

• Ab‑initio flying instructional experience in a large ATO.
• Minimum 700 total flight hours, including 500 instructional hours and 200 IFR hours.
• GCAA or ICAO Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or ATPL with Single‑Engine Class Rating.
• Flight Instructor Rating with night and instrument privileges.
• Class 1 Medical Certificate without restrictions.
• ICAO English Language Proficiency level 5 or higher.
