About the role
The intern will support the verification of Critical Control Points (CCPs), Operational Pre‑requisite Programs (OPRPs) and other food safety programs, assist with microbiology sample collection, and help maintain accurate food safety records.
Key responsibilities
- Verify CCPs, OPRPs and PRPs against the Hazard Control Plan.
- Collect food samples for microbiology analysis according to the sampling plan.
- Support data gathering and maintenance of monitoring registers to identify trends.
- Conduct personal hygiene checks of food handlers and report deviations.
- Assist with thermometer verification and customer complaint investigations.
Required profile
- Level 2 Food Safety Training (mandatory).
- Food Safety Level 3 (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a scientific discipline (preferred).
- Experience in food production or a related field (advantageous).
Required skills
- Food safety verification and monitoring.
- Microbiology sample collection and handling.
- Thermometer calibration verification.
- Investigation of customer complaints and traceability.
