Food Safety Officer

About the role

Al Med Retail is looking for a Food Safety Officer to join its Dubai team. You will be responsible for safeguarding food safety standards across all operations, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and international quality systems.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce UAE food safety regulations and municipality requirements.
• Maintain HACCP controls and quality standards throughout production.
• Conduct regular food safety inspections and identify improvement opportunities.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring ISO 22000 compliance.
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and corrective action logs.
• Promote food safety awareness and best practices among staff.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in Food Safety or Quality Assurance within F&B, hospitality, catering or food manufacturing.
• HACCP Level 3 or 4 certification (mandatory).
• ISO 22000 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification (preferred).
• Food Safety training certificate from Dubai or Abu Dhabi Municipality (preferred).
• Good command of English; Arabic, Hindi or Urdu is an advantage.
• Valid UAE driving licence for multi‑site inspections (preferred).
