Foundry Operator – Precious Metals

About the role

The Foundry Operator – Precious Metals is responsible for the safe and efficient melting, casting, and processing of precious metals using furnaces and related equipment. The role involves preparing raw materials, loading and monitoring furnaces, adjusting temperatures, and pouring molten metal into molds or designated containers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare raw materials and load furnaces for melting operations.
• Monitor furnace temperatures, adjust settings, and pour molten metal into molds or containers.
• Clean and maintain foundry equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow strict safety, environmental, and security protocols throughout the process.
• Record production data such as batch numbers, weights, and quality checks.
• Collaborate with quality control and warehouse teams to ensure accurate handling, labeling, and storage of precious metal products.

Required profile

• Experience in foundry operations or metal processing, including furnace operation, melting, and casting.
• Knowledge of basic metallurgy principles and characteristics of precious metals.
• Strong awareness of safety procedures and ability to work in a high‑temperature industrial environment.
• Ability to perform accurate measurements, record production data, and follow standardized operating procedures.
• Basic communication skills in English and ability to work collaboratively with diverse colleagues.
