FP&A and Performance Lead

About the role

This high‑profile finance leadership position provides direct exposure to the Board and is responsible for driving strategy and performance across a complex, multi‑entity group. The role will shape financial planning, reporting and performance management to support sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis for the Group.
• Develop and implement performance measurement frameworks and KPIs.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring robust planning, consolidation and stakeholder alignment.
• Manage periodic forecasting and rolling‑forecast cycles, identifying risks, opportunities and performance trends.
• Support medium‑ and long‑term financial planning aligned to business strategy.
• Partner with business leaders to develop revenue, cost, headcount, capex and cash‑flow plans.
• Drive group‑wide financial performance analysis and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
• Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly and ad‑hoc management reporting packs and executive‑level presentations for Board meetings.
• Evaluate profitability of customers, contracts, business units and service lines.
• Provide commercial insight for investment decisions, M&A and business cases, including financial modelling and scenario analysis.
• Analyse working capital, cash conversion and operational efficiency metrics.
• Enhance reporting frameworks, dashboards and management information systems.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency and accuracy across the organisation.
• Collaborate with Finance, HR, Procurement, IT and operational teams to strengthen governance and controls.
• Lead, mentor and develop the FP&A team, promoting best practices.

Required profile

• Significant finance leadership experience with Board exposure.
• Proven track record in FP&A, budgeting and forecasting within a complex, multi‑entity environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills for senior management and Board presentations.
• Leadership experience managing and developing finance teams.
