General Assistant

About the role

The General Assistant provides essential administrative and portering support to ensure smooth operations within the department of Mediclinic Al Ain Hospital. This role combines front‑desk duties, patient transport, and logistical assistance to maintain a safe and efficient environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive administrative support to the department, including handling documents and communications.
• Provide patient transport services and run errands to deliver equipment, supplies, and paperwork where needed.
• Inspect facilities before, during, and after patient stays to ensure safety and compliance with standards.
• Perform reception duties for the ward, greeting patients and visitors and managing inquiries.

Required profile

• Grade 12 certificate (or equivalent).
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong client‑service orientation and understanding of related management principles.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Willingness to support Emiratization objectives as outlined by UAE regulations.

Required skills

• Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
