General Counsel

About the role

Sundus Consultancy is looking for an experienced General Counsel to join its leadership team in Dubai. The role serves as a strategic legal partner, providing guidance on corporate governance, commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the trusted legal advisor to executive leadership and business stakeholders.
• Develop and execute legal strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Oversee corporate governance, compliance programs, and regulatory requirements.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage complex commercial agreements.
• Support strategic transactions, partnerships, investments, and expansion initiatives.
• Manage litigation, disputes, investigations, and relationships with external counsel.
• Establish effective legal processes, policies, and risk‑management frameworks.
• Lead and develop the legal function while upholding high standards of integrity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• 12+ years of legal experience, including significant in‑house or corporate counsel experience.
• Proven ability to advise senior executives and influence business decisions.
• Experience in multinational or high‑growth organisations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
