General Ledger Accountant – Immediate Joiners Only

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented General Ledger Accountant to join our Finance team in Dubai. The role involves managing the General Ledger, supporting month‑end and year‑end closes, and ensuring compliance with IFRS and UAE VAT regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and manage the General Ledger and Chart of Accounts.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, pre‑payments and adjustments.
• Execute monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Support the preparation of management reports and financial statements.
• Handle fixed‑asset accounting, depreciation, additions and disposals.
• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Assist internal and external audits and ensure compliance with IFRS, VAT and company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA) is a plus.
• 3–5 years of experience in General Ledger or General Accounting, preferably in UAE with VAT knowledge.
• Hands‑on experience with month‑end close, reconciliations and financial reporting.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working with ERP systems and accounting software.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and IFRS standards.
